Acquiring Empty Canisters

You can start collecting these canisters from round one. The first canister requires you to go down to SAM and get Tomahawks from the crafting table. Next to the crafting table, you'll see a broken cracked thing with a letter (A or B) to its left. Go through the tunnel (the same one used for the Ray Gun Mark II code) and look for two valves on the left. Throw a Tomahawk at the first valve, and one second later, throw it at the valve corresponding to the letter you saw earlier. Return to the crafting table area, where you'll find it smoking. Have a teammate throw a Molotov at it to drop the first canister.

For the second canister, head to the underground area and look for rubble where a dead zombie is holding a Gers device. Grab the Gers device and go to Double Tap. Under Double Tap, you'll see the canister. Throw the Gers device on the floor in front of the canister to pull it towards you.

Upgrading the Ray Gun

For the third canister, you'll need the Ray Gun Mark II to shoot crystals. These crystals can spawn in various locations, such as underground by the armory, by PhD Flopper, by the computer room where you got the Yeti code, or in the greenhouse area by the spawn. Once you find a crystal, shoot it with the Ray Gun Mark II to obtain the third canister.

Take the canisters to the yellow machine by Speed Cola and insert them. This will start an upgrade process. Abominations will spawn; charge up three small rocks by having the Abominations shoot their beams at them. Once charged, get the Abominations to tackle the rocks. After all three rocks are floating, a ritual will begin. Eliminate zombies to charge it up to 100%. If you fail, you can restart next round without the Abominations. Once charged, grab the canister.

Crafting the Blue Ray Gun

Go back to the underground armory area and put the charged canister in the big machine. You can now craft the blue version of the Ray Gun. This upgraded weapon is crucial for the next steps in the Easter egg.
